A tangy, well balanced golden dressing. The sweet overtones make it perfect for anyone who loves the rich taste of mustard but without the kick! This sauce is fantastic over cold vegetables, new potatoes, cold meats, a marinade for chicken, pork and game as well as an essential for salads.
This summertime sauce is great for barbecues. For sweet barbecued chicken skewers place your diced chicken thighs in a wide dish, season with salt and pepper then drizzle our dressing over the top. Toss the chicken in the marinade until evenly coated. Slice up red peppers, yellow peppers and onions to a similar size as the chicken and repeat the same process. Thread the chicken, vegetables and dried apricots (if preferred) on to your skewers. Cook on the barbecue or in the oven until golden and crispy on the outside and enjoy!
It is also great for potato salad. Chop up your new potatoes into bitesize pieces and place in a pan. Cook on a high heat until boiling then simmer for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through. Drain and allow to cool. In a bowl mix 4 tbsps of mayonnaise, a dash of lemon juice and 100ml of our dressing. Place the potatoes in a mixing bowl and evenly coat them in the sauce. Top with some fresh chive and serve!
This dressing reminds the kids of my husband, affectionately known by them as Big Bear! A family favourite enjoyed by everyone.
